My Couponing Home Run!!!

Posted by MomOf2Boys On July - 2 - 2011 ADD COMMENTS
I just scored a home run tonight at CVS… and YES! I am going to tell you how I just did it…
Tip #1.  Every item you put in your cart/basket HAS to be matched up with a coupon… even if its a buy 1 get 1 free deal…
Tip #2. If the coupon tells you that you can get $x Off for ANY product made by that particular manufacture, YOU BETTER BELIEVE that they have a product that’s either the same amount displayed on that coupon or less.
Tip #3. If you really really need to buy something… let’s say dish detergent, make sure to purchase the brand that’s giving you EXTRABUCKS back so you can use those bucks later!
Tip #4. ALWAYS scan your CVS card prior to purchasing so the machine can load your card up with all of that week’s deals AND so you can get your coupons for items that are on sale for that week.
Okay… So here’s what I did…
I had a list that I prepared from Sunday 6/27, however, like always, I got there a little too late… meaning that everything I wanted to get (because they were onsale and are matchable with coupons for deep savings) were already GONE…
So, after going to several CVS on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday, I thought I’d wait until today to go shopping because CVS stores have up to 2 stocking days per week…
I went to CVS #1… and they were out of everything I needed. So I pressed on to CVS #2 for the evening…  They didn’t have everything I needed, however, they had enough items for me to get what I wanted close to nothing (or so I thought)…
Anywho… these are the following coupons I had and the pricing for the items…
- $4 off Any Lumune Product  = I purchase 1 Pack of Lumune Cleaning Clothes (make up remover clothes) $2.99 (CVS had a sale going on that I didn’t know about, 2 or more of this product rings up at $2.75 ea.) So they paid me $1.25 to take this home.
- $2 off Wisk HE 2x Clothing Detergent = CVS had a sale going on. Buy 1 get 1 free. $8.99 – $4.00 for the two $2off coupons… So I got this for … $4.99
- $2 off Wisk He 2x Clothing Detergent = CVS had a sale going on. Buy 1 get 1 free. I got this one for FREE.
- $1 off Twizzlers 12 – 17 once bag of candy CVS is having a sale on this. 3/$6 … but you don’t have to buy ALL 3 to still get the deal.  1/$2 … with the coupon it was 1/$1…
- $3 off ANY two Pantene products … CVS is having a sale on Pantene items… 2/$6.97… I got these for $3.97
- $5.99 ExtraBucks
- $4 off CVS total purchase of at least $20…
Retail value including tax … came up to $35.56 … after all of my coupons & my Extrabucks, CVS ended up owing me -$0.03 (I earned $2 in Extrabucks this trip).
Talk about feeling good… This is the best shopping experience I’ve ever had… and to think, I STILL didn’t get everything I wanted… Hopefully CVS will have those items in stock tomorrow… (time to build up the stockpile for extra cheap!!!)
Look for another post from me telling what is still good out there for the pickings for this week … CVS & Target both have some good deals out there providing you can get your hands on the coupons…
If you are interested in having a one on one class for me to share the ‘Art Of The Deal: Couponing’ let me know…  I will be starting up classes here in the Metroplex Very SOON!!! Please gather a group of people, the cheaper the deal (groups of 5 or more $10 a person, 2-4 $20 a person, 1/1 $40) … the fewer number of people, the more time we will have to cover more aspects of couponing…

Hurry There are Still Deals To Be Had At CVS …

Posted by MomOf2Boys On July - 2 - 2011 ADD COMMENTS

Hello There…

You heard me correctly! Hurry up and get out your coupon binders/ boxes/ books or whatever it is you keep them in… There are plenty of deals to STILL be had at CVS before Sunday hits… so get it going!!! Cash in the coupons you have… build up your stockpile… and SAVE! SAVE! SAVE!!!

As promised in my other post, here are a few deals that are still available at CVS providing you have the coupons to pull it off and if you can find a CVS that still has these items… BUT, if by chance CVS doesn’t you can get a raincheck for the number of X item that you need.  I don’t know if there is a limit in quantity that CVS will allow you to get a raincheck for or if the ExtraBucks will still be available.
Please note that the listed items are a deal providing you have your  CVS card on you… No Card, No Discount…
Item #1 : Palmolive 10oz bottle for .88cents (6/26 Sunday’s Paper had a coupon for .25cents off)
Item #2 : Xtra 2x 28 loads for $1.49 (6/26 Sunday’s Paper had a coupon for $1off when you purchase 2)
Item #3: Wisk 2x HE Laundry Detergent … Buy 1 Get 1 Free (Sunday’s Paper had $2/1 coupon) TIP! If you have 2 of these $2off coupons, you’d be in GREAT shape because you would be able to use a coupon for each items.  Thus, you would get two Wisk’s for 1/2 the price of 1.
Item #4 : Scott’s and other household helpers 5/$5 … (6/19 Sunday’s Paper had $1/1 off coupon for Scott’s paper towels . You can either use this 1 coupon or find 4 friends who have this coupon and aren’t using (or do like me and get in the habit of purchasing more than 2 newspapers)…
Item’s 5 & 6 : Here’s the deal here… When you spend $15 on a specific selection of products, CVS will give you $5 in ExtraBucks (limit of one Extrabucks per CVS card.  The items that you should be concerned with are the following:
#5 : Dove Men + Care body Wash $5 a bottle (6/26 Sunday’s Paper has a coupon for Buy 1 get 1 free)
#6 : Buy 2/$7 Dove Men + Care Deodorant. (6/26 Sundays’s Paper has a coupon for $2/1 or $2 off for one deodorant).  Pick up two of these and you’ll get them both for $3
So here’s the final situation with items #5 & #6… if you pick up 2 #5s and 1 #6, retail its, $17. After your coupons, you’ll end up spending $8.  But remember, you will get $5 back in Extrabucks, so its like you only spent $3 on ALL of these items.
Item #7 : Selected Pantene Products : 2/$6.97. (6/26 Sunday’s Paper has a coupon for $3/2 any Pantene product). This product also has ExtraBucks Rewards associated with it. You will end up getting $2 in Extrabucks or $1 per each of these items. So its like you only spent $1.97 on these two items… or less than $1 each for these two items…
Smiles… I hope you’re able to stock up and save… smiles…
