Quick Pizza

flourtortillapizzaWho doesn’t like Pizza? Not too many people are in that group, so why not make pizza at home instead of calling it in.

This recipe is not only simple, easy and fun, but even a 4yr old can do it. Seriously, a 4yr old can.

Flour Tortillas
Your Favorite Spaghetti Sauce
Your Favorite Shredded Cheese
Pepperoni (I use Hormel brand pepperoni)
Other Favorite Toppings (optional)

1. Place a cookie sheet on the lowest tray in your oven & set the oven at 375 Degrees.
2. On your working space, layout you tin foil so that your flour tortillas sit directly in the middle of your piece of foil.
3. Spray the foil with a non-stick baking spray to prevent the tortilla from sticking to the foil.
4. Spread your favorite Spaghetti Sauce on the tortilla to your desired consistency.
5. Pile on the cheese please.
6. Add your pepperoni and other toppings if you so choose.
7. Carefully place the pizza (with the tin foil underneath) in the oven and directly over the cookie sheet.
8. Allow your pizza to bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted and the tortilla edges are golden brown.

Add a dash of oregano, salt & pepper, and there you have it… quick personal pizzas for everyone!

MomTip #001 : Kids Eat For Free or Discounted

Posted by MomOf2Boys On June - 29 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Mommy’s & Daddy’s, you all need to get on the ball if you haven’t already as there are still plenty of places out there that still serve children for free IF NOT at a discounted rate.

Let’s face it, the economy is what it is and the family budget is what it is.  The only constant is the fact that we all have to eat.  Now what to eat isn’t always something that’s easily agreed upon, however, let’s relax every once and again.

Feel free to take the whole family out for something different and new.  This time, make sure you partake at eateries that have KIDS ARE FREE or DISCOUNTED specials.

Now, I don’t know where you like, but I live here in Texas.  For all of you out of towners, do your own google or bing searches for eateries in your area…

But for kicks, laughs and giggles, here’s a little of what I was able to find for the state of Texas:

I don’t know about your family, but from time to time, we eat out, have to make a mad dash to the mall or to a friends house which means there’s no time or place to actually brush our teeth.

Thanks to my mommy, I’ve found the perfect product to take care of this issue.  It comes in :

Xylitol Gum Green Tea (100)
Xylitol Gum Peppermint (100)
Xylitol Gum Spearmint (100)
Xylitol Gum Cinnamon (100)
Xylitol Mints Berry (240)
Xylitol Mints Lemon (240)
Xylitol Mints Peppermint (240)

•Promotes oral health.
•Helps freshen breath.

Nature’s Sweet Life® Xylitol Gum [Structural] freshens breath, cleans teeth and promotes dental health with all of the flavor and none of the harmful effects of sugar-laden gum . Chewing gum after a meal stimulates the production of saliva, which washes the teeth and neutralizes harmful acid produced by bacteria.

Regular use of xylitol has been shown to help reduce dental plaque—the first stage of cavity development, tartar formation and tooth staining—and promote better oral health. Nature’s Sweet Life® Xylitol Gum contains xylitol, gum base, natural flavor from peppermint oil, spearmint oil or cinnamon oil, vegetable glycerin, gum arabic, soy lecithin and beeswax.

Chew after or between meals to freshen breath and promote oral health.

CAUTION: This product and other products containing xylitol must not be given to pets.

While pregnant with the Baby B, I had the most outrageous cravings for something, anything, and everything ‘SWEET.’

My mother being the wonderful mother she is sent me a bag of Xylitol and told me to try it… Now, if you know me, you know that I’m not one for just trying things, but since it was my mommy sending me this ‘TRY IT,’ I went on and did as she suggested.

Now, I know sugar. Heck, I have a sweet tooth the size of an elephants tooth so there’s no way to trick me when it comes to sugar… Let me tell you, had I not read the bag, I wouldn’t have known that this was sugar. I am not kidding or fooling around. I am 100% serious…

Along with the bag, my mother also sent me a print out of the benefits of Xylitol. This stuff is amazing… And what’s even more amazing is the fact that not everyone knows about it.  Now how sad is that?

Anywho… check it out for yourself:

Xylitol Bulk (1 lb. bag)

Got DVDs? Then You Need DVDCatalyst!!!

Posted by MomOf2Boys On June - 27 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Why This Busy Mom Loves DVDCatalyst

Waiting at a (docter’s)office/bus/train, or kids in the car.

No TV in the room, or stuck on CNN, no DVD players in the car, imagine having a few TellyTubbies episodes on your Blackberry.

Kids are tearing each other up, chewing on the car-seats. Hand them the Blackberry playing their favorite cartoons.

Done deal.

Here is how it works.

DVD Cat runs on your (Windows) computer ,

1. Start the program,
2. Select your device (ipod, iphone, blackberry)
3. Put in a DVD
4. Click Go
5. Wait a while, DVD is being spat out, copy created file to your device/itunes etc.

And here is where DVD Cat excels.

If you have one device, and your other has another device most likely the video files are different. (an iPod file does not play on a PSP for example).

DVD Catalyst is the only app that enables you to queue up multiple devices. Your Blackberry, and others iPhone for example. Once more than one device is selected, it will create 2 files instead of one for every DVD you put in, and it’s done.

Got a lot of movies to do, simple, run DVD Cat automatic. With a few checkmarks (examples in the manual) you can set it up to run without ever clicking on anything. put in a DVD, it’s converted, and spat out when done. Put in a new one when you walk past it and as soon as the tray closes, it will take off again.

There is nothing like that on the market.
