Diary of a Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Book

Posted by MomOf2Boys On October - 14 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

DOAWK-do-it-yourselfAccording to my 11 year old, this book series is the best book series ever…

All I know about this book is that the children get to draw their own comics and they are allowed to make their own journal towards the conclusion of the book…

Oh! and I can’t forget the most important thing that I know… He will lock himself in his room and read these books from cover to cover… and this is coming from a kid who doesn’t particularly enjoy reading.

HmMMmm! The author’s of this book series needs to come up with more books… that’s a DEMAND right there…

dissolvingtoiletriesDescription : Keep Clean Look at you. Your hands are dirty. Your body is dirty. Your hair? Dirty. Your mind? Dirty, dirty, DIRTY! Well, we are here to help. We can cleanse your hands, your body, and your hair. Your mind? That’s beyond even our magnificent powers. We’re going to clean up the rest of you with these awesome Dissolving Travel Toiletries. Each of these Travel Toiletries is a marvel of modern science. Open a pack, remove one of the 50 sheets, and add water. It dissolves into a cleaning product, which you then can use as you are already (hopefully) accustomed. In our experience, 3-4 sheets of shampoo will clean a moderate head of hair. As for the body wash, it will depend on the size of the body you are cleaning, naturally. These are perfect to keep in your desk, your purse, your man bag, your carry-on luggage – everywhere you might encounter unwanted grime. Now if we could only purge that dirty mind of yours . . . .

Check it out here.

Straight From Kaboodle : Toothettes

toothettesDescription : ? I bought these some time ago and put a few in my travel toiletries bag, in a small emergency kit at work and a couple in the car glove box. After my first use, I am hooked. They work great and get the job done; kind of like a kitchen scrunge for your teeth. I highly recommend; just wish they were a bit cheaper. ? I had great expectations of this product. It seemed it would solve a lot of logistical problems. Unfortunately, they just don’t work. They don’t really make contact with the teeth because they’re too soft and they don’t make your teeth feel at all clean. I ended up ditching them after a few tries. Still, I love most of your products and will always be a customer. ? I wrote a review of this product a few weeks ago and I see that the only review that is still on the site is the one that is very positive. I understand that you may not want to publish something that will negatively affect your sales, but I have three friends who all felt the same about the product: a waste of money. If you would like me to write a review that is a little kinder than my last one (which wasn’t really THAT bad), please let me know. I realize that you reserve the right to decide which reviews are published, but I think that it’s misleading to only publish a glowing review of a product that, if you tried it yourself, you would see doesn’t do what it’s advertised to do. You offer so many wonderful products that I keep coming back, but this one just doesn’t make it and probably shouldn’t be portrayed as being so great. In any case, could you please send me an email acknowledging my comments? Thanks, a loyal customer ? I bought these in 2005 for a trip to Spain. I ended up throwing them away. They tasted terrible and didn’t clean my teeth all that well. A few of them even fell apart. Write a Review ? I don’t know about your family, but from time to time, we eat out, have to make a mad dash to the mall or to a friends house which means there’s no time or place to actually brush our teeth.

Thanks to my mommy, I’ve found the perfect product to take care of this issue.  It comes in :

Xylitol Gum Green Tea (100)
Xylitol Gum Peppermint (100)
Xylitol Gum Spearmint (100)
Xylitol Gum Cinnamon (100)
Xylitol Mints Berry (240)
Xylitol Mints Lemon (240)
Xylitol Mints Peppermint (240)

Benefits:
•Promotes oral health.
•Helps freshen breath.

Nature’s Sweet Life® Xylitol Gum [Structural] freshens breath, cleans teeth and promotes dental health with all of the flavor and none of the harmful effects of sugar-laden gum . Chewing gum after a meal stimulates the production of saliva, which washes the teeth and neutralizes harmful acid produced by bacteria.

Regular use of xylitol has been shown to help reduce dental plaque—the first stage of cavity development, tartar formation and tooth staining—and promote better oral health. Nature’s Sweet Life® Xylitol Gum contains xylitol, gum base, natural flavor from peppermint oil, spearmint oil or cinnamon oil, vegetable glycerin, gum arabic, soy lecithin and beeswax.

Chew after or between meals to freshen breath and promote oral health.

CAUTION: This product and other products containing xylitol must not be given to pets.

While pregnant with the Baby B, I had the most outrageous cravings for something, anything, and everything ‘SWEET.’

My mother being the wonderful mother she is sent me a bag of Xylitol and told me to try it… Now, if you know me, you know that I’m not one for just trying things, but since it was my mommy sending me this ‘TRY IT,’ I went on and did as she suggested.

Now, I know sugar. Heck, I have a sweet tooth the size of an elephants tooth so there’s no way to trick me when it comes to sugar… Let me tell you, had I not read the bag, I wouldn’t have known that this was sugar. I am not kidding or fooling around. I am 100% serious…

Along with the bag, my mother also sent me a print out of the benefits of Xylitol. This stuff is amazing… And what’s even more amazing is the fact that not everyone knows about it.  Now how sad is that?

Anywho… check it out for yourself:

Xylitol Bulk (1 lb. bag)

Got DVDs? Then You Need DVDCatalyst!!!

Why This Busy Mom Loves DVDCatalyst

Waiting at a (docter’s)office/bus/train, or kids in the car.

No TV in the room, or stuck on CNN, no DVD players in the car, imagine having a few TellyTubbies episodes on your Blackberry.

Kids are tearing each other up, chewing on the car-seats. Hand them the Blackberry playing their favorite cartoons.

Done deal.

Here is how it works.

DVD Cat runs on your (Windows) computer ,

1. Start the program,
2. Select your device (ipod, iphone, blackberry)
3. Put in a DVD
4. Click Go
5. Wait a while, DVD is being spat out, copy created file to your device/itunes etc.

And here is where DVD Cat excels.

If you have one device, and your other has another device most likely the video files are different. (an iPod file does not play on a PSP for example).

DVD Catalyst is the only app that enables you to queue up multiple devices. Your Blackberry, and others iPhone for example. Once more than one device is selected, it will create 2 files instead of one for every DVD you put in, and it’s done.

Got a lot of movies to do, simple, run DVD Cat automatic. With a few checkmarks (examples in the manual) you can set it up to run without ever clicking on anything. put in a DVD, it’s converted, and spat out when done. Put in a new one when you walk past it and as soon as the tray closes, it will take off again.

There is nothing like that on the market.
